Teachers love end of the year gifts and we love giving them but it’s so hard to come up with great ideas that won’t add to the clutter. That’s why we decided to keep it simple with this DIY teacher gift bag using chalk markers.
Inside each gift bag we placed some M&Ms® for the teacher because after all, who doesn’t love M&Ms®? Next, we added an inspirational pass along card from DaySpring, these are adorable, they are the size of a business card but they come in a multi pack, each one with a different uplifting Bible verse and design. Additionally we made sure to include our own handwritten note thanking the teacher for the service that they do. Teaching our children is no small manner and it should be something that we thank them for, goodness knows I don’t have the patience for it.
But none of those things are useful things, just encouraging things. We didn’t want to leave them that way. We wanted to give them something useful for them to use in their own classrooms or around their houses. That’s why we included these chalk markers and chalkboard labels from Chalkola. Personally, the smaller Premium Wet Wipe Markers are my favorite but any of the chalk markers or even the chalkboard labels would have made a great gift on their own but we wanted to spread them out across multiple teachers so each teacher got two different types of markers and eight different labels.
And what’s a teacher gift without some diy crafting. Pulling out the scissors and glue causes us to have school year flashbacks and we love it! Nothing better than some good ole fashion fun. The bags that we used to hold our teacher gift are chalkboard bags so we were able to use the ChalkOla markers on those very same bags. Each bags that we sent was designed a little differently and on the back we sent an encouraging message to the teacher. Sadly, no images were taken of the back of the bags.
The design on the front of the bag was created by using a small dollie and gluing it to the bag, on top of the dollie we glued some scrap book paper that we cut out into circles. This pack of scrapbook paper is similar to the one we had on hand at the time.
