Watermelon Bites are a great solution for getting young kids to cool off during the hot summer months. I remember being extremely cautious of the food and drinks that I gave my children when they were younger. However, I’ll never forget that hot summer day that neither child of mine wanted to drink anything. I had two children under the age of two and they spent all afternoon outside playing, to the point of dehydration. That’s a frightening place to be. It was also the moment that I discovered I needed to let my guard down a bit about what they ate and the moment I started searching for creative solutions to get kids to drink more during the summer days.
These watermelon bites are a great solution and a great snack to keep in the cooler next to the pool. Best of all, they are easy to make!
Kids Love Watermelon Bites
Gather all of your essentials. You’ll need a watermelon sliced in half, a melon baller and a bowl.
Using the melon baller scoop out the watermelon. To get a good size ball you’ll need to scoop it out similar to how you could scoop out ice cream.
Chill your watermelon in the fridge.
It’s as simple as that! Young toddlers who are often too busy playing to stop and drink will love eating these watermelon bites. Looking for a fun way to play with toddlers? Check out this idea!
