When it comes to halloween silly monsters are my personal favorite. They are just the right amount of cute to keep me craving more. This halloween everything in our house will revolve around these bright little guys because our kids are still young and while the spooky stuff is great for the older guys I’m not a fan of being up all night because of nightmares. Halloween is meant to be fun and that’s exactly what silly monsters bring to the party around here. Not to mention, the bright colors are addictive!
If you are in charge of bringing something yummy and spooky to the next halloween party you will want to consider bringing this yummy dessert. It’s comes together in just a few simple steps. Depending on the age of your kids they may even be able to whip this dessert together with some simple instructions from you.
Easy Monster Cupcakes
First, bake and cool your favorite cupcakes, my little monster prefers chocolate so that’s what we went with.
Then, spread some icing on the top of each cupcake. There’s no need for perfection here because you won’t even be able to see the frosting in just a second. Frankly, that’s perfect for me because my decoration skills lack greatly.
Okay, once your cupcakes have been frosted roll them around in bowl of sprinkles until they are completely covered. Kids love this step!
Next just add some of Wilton’s candy eyes randomly around the top of the cupcake. Unless you have excellent fine motor skills those eyes can be very difficult to grasp so don’t worry too much about perfection here either. Shockingly, the eye balls are not tough at all, you’ll be amazed at just how good they taste on top of a cupcake.
