This truck stop book for kids is adorable!
Okay, so let’s get straight to why I love this book.
The book is more or less about family. It’s a young boy talking about the morning life of his family, who happens to own a truck stop. He referrers to the regulars by the names of their trucks and the drivers are well, just drivers but it’s the big wheels that matter in this book. Young boys who love cars, trucks, and everything fast will fall in love with this easy to read book. The graphics are great and spread across both pages. The characters have personality and since the little boy turns out to be an everyday hero as he calls for backup when a missing truck is found broken down on the side of the road, the book has great moral value to it also. “I love how they come rumbling their wheels, and with air brakes whooshing. I love how the smell of diesel fills the air.”
